Well we're officially into February and I don't know about you but I can surely use a restart button for the New Years Resolution I set a little over a month ago! If your like me and fall into this category don't fret because you are not alone.
Most Americans will be joining you in trying to push the “Reset Button” on there New Year's Resolution. In fact, according to Health.com, about one third of Americans make resolutions. “While 75% of people stick to their goals for at least a week, less than half (46%) are still on target six months later (OUCH)."
Need help getting back on track with your Resolution? Try to write it out on a planner, chart or calendar where you can make notes. In order to jump start your resolution and to stick with it, it's probable that you'll need to do some planning and organizing, and perhaps even some purchasing.
It helps your focus to make notes and lists to direct your efforts in starting new habits. Write down anything else of relevance, alongside those resolutions. In some cases, breaking down the goals into short term and long term milestones is necessary to ensure you don't flag in your willpower. Write down any milestones you think will work for you.
Most important DONT get discouraged if you fall off track every now and then. The most important part of a Resolution is pushing yourself to accomplish a goal that may not be easy to do. Here's to a fantastic, goal busting 2016!
